Although I haven't seen Eddie Redmayne's emcee, I did see him perform on the Tonys. I know this show cold since I directed a production back in 2010. I could talk at length about the iconic performance of Alan Cummings in this role. He physicalized a power and a control over the entire proceedings inside the Kit Kat Club. For me, however, Redmayne is closer in line to Joel Gray's interpretation, which speaks to the grotesque and the dangerous, which this show can easily handle. It is set in a time of the grotesque and the dangerous. It's a world of total manipulation and I would assume that the recent revival exposes that manipulation.

Harmonies are absolutely spot on. Harmonies can make or break a song, but Carrie smashes it out the park again, no problemo 😉👍

I saw Stephanie in both 'Wicked' and 'Into the Woods'. She was simply fantastic in both shows. I'm glad that London audiences will now see her wonderful acting and hear her incredible voice.
